About Me
Hello! I'm Manoj Gadamsetty, a Principal Software Engineer based in Hyderabad, India, with 10+ years of experience building secure, scalable systems across mobile, identity, and workflow automation. I focus on delivering AI-native engineering systems that improve velocity without sacrificing reliability or governance.
Currently at Palo Alto Networks, I work on secure identity and delivery workflows that combine observability, automation, and AI-assisted analysis. I specialize in advanced authentication, zero-trust access, enterprise identity, and operational systems that make product teams faster and more effective, with endpoint development focused primarily on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS apps.
Over the course of my career, I've led products and platforms that serve large user bases with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and measurable engineering outcomes. I prefer systems that are auditable, testable, and simple to evolve.
My Journey
I started my career at BRN Infotech as an iOS intern, building a strong foundation in Swift and Objective-C. I progressed through Proxim Quest IT Solutions and Edwisely, where I developed secure educational applications with LaTeX/KaTeX rendering. At Frost Interactive, I built production video platforms with custom AVPlayer controls and FairPlay DRM licensing.
My enterprise journey deepened at CyberArk, where I spent 4.5+ years architecting privileged access and identity systems. That work shaped my understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2, and enterprise identity federation.
Today, at Palo Alto Networks, I’m focused on secure platform delivery, workflow automation, and identity systems that support enterprise security requirements while improving engineering throughput.
Technical Toolkit
My technical toolkit spans iOS (Swift, Objective-C), Android (Kotlin, Java), macOS, and secure backend development (.NET, Python, Golang) with full-stack DevSecOps capabilities. I also work with MCP orchestration, RAG systems, Skills Builder and multi-agent orchestration automation, and AI-assisted refactoring. I specialize in threat modeling, security architecture design, code reviews, and incident response.
What I'm Passionate About
Security Excellence: I believe security shouldn't be an afterthought. I'm committed to building systems where security is fundamental to the design, not bolted on later.
Performance & Scale: Building systems that serve users reliably and efficiently fascinates me. I like optimizing performance, reducing friction, and designing systems that scale without unnecessary complexity.
Architecture & Design: I'm deeply interested in system design and architecture - how to build modular, maintainable systems that scale. Whether it's designing APIs, databases, or workflows, I enjoy thinking about trade-offs.
People & Mentorship: I believe great technology is built by great teams. I've mentored 15+ junior engineers and enjoy helping them grow technically and professionally.
Technical Philosophy
I believe in pragmatic engineering - using the right tool for the job, not the fanciest one. I value simplicity, clarity, and maintainability. I'm an advocate for:
- Security-first thinking in all designs
- Clear, well-tested code over clever code
- Data-driven decision making
- Continuous learning and experimentation
- Collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Performance and user experience obsession
Beyond Coding
Beyond coding, I value open communication, lifelong learning, and solving complex problems that matter. I'm passionate about mentoring talented teams, driving innovation in AI-assisted engineering, and creating products that users can trust.
I'm always open to conversations about AI-native engineering, identity platforms, system design, and how technology can solve real-world problems at scale.
